Case Studies

James was 12 years of age when he first commenced orthodontic treatment. The main issues were:

Poor bite on the side teeth
Deep overbite
Front upper teeth tipped backwards

Without treatment, James would experience premature wear of his front teeth. Malocclusion of this type can also lead to headaches, and jaw joint problems if left untreated.

Orthodontic Treatment Plan

Following a detailed orthodontic assessment and discussions with James and his family, an orthodontic treatment plan was created. It involved upper and lower fixed braces to correct tooth alignment. Orthodontic elastics were used to correct the overbite and side alignment.

Treatment results were positive with improvements in James’ bite on both his front and side teeth. The appearance of James’ smile and teeth was also improved. James’ results were achieved in 2 years without the need for tooth extraction.
