The product is a clear aligner that fits over your teeth and is virtually invisible, often making these aligners a more appealing option than some other traditional treatments. Invisalign aligners are custom-made specifically for you from hospital grade plastic which ensures their strength.

How Invisalign works

Invisalign treatment starts by mapping your teeth to allow your doctor to formulate a treatment plan. From this, a series of customised aligners will be made that will gradually move your teeth to the pre-determined positions as you progress through the stages.

After you achieve your great new smile, as with other orthodontic treatments, it is recommended that you wear a retainer so that your smile is maintained and your teeth do not move out of alignment.

Daily Life with Invisalign

One of the most impressive aspects of this orthodontic treatment option is the ease in which your treatment is handled. It’s virtually invisible, making it very discreet. It is also removable, making it easy to continue with meal times without difficulty. Hygiene is also very easy to maintain as there is not the difficulty experienced with traditional braces where plaque can build up and dental care can become more difficult to maintain.

Invisalign Treatment Suitability

Unfortunately, not every smile can be fixed with Invisalign. Whilst is a highly effective treatment for many different types of teeth straightening but it’s not a replacement for braces just yet. The types of cases that can be treated with Invisalign is largely determined by the experience and knowledge of your orthodontist. Ideally, your doctor should also be experienced with braces treatment so the best options for achieving your ideal smile can be discussed.
